Noggin 100 MHz Training and Field Test, Basrah

Smart Line Geophysical Survey completed a combined GPR training course and field test in Basrah, southern Iraq, using a Noggin 100 MHz antenna system.

The training was delivered to an oil company team who will operate the system for underground utility detection across their facilities. The field test was carried out in ambient temperatures of 45 °C, which is a realistic reflection of the conditions the team will work in.

A 100 MHz antenna trades resolution for depth, making it well suited to locating larger services and mapping ground conditions at depth rather than shallow, fine-scale targets.
